[av_dropcap1]W[/av_dropcap1]e are honored to have Lynn Alexander representing Yoga Trade this month!
Lynn Alexander is an adventurous yogi in this wild modern world. Her aspiration is to share and apply the ancient wisdom of yoga to modern day life. She is inspired by deep nature, driven people, raw compassion and fearless love.
She studied traditional Ashtanga yoga and completed her 200hr YTT through Source of Yoga in 2013. Since then her practice has expanded to include restorative, hatha and vinyasa styles. Lynn is a Thai massage practitioner certified by the Still Light Center of Toronto, and has been offering bodywork treatments at Encanta la Vida in Costa Rica since October 2014.
Life’s journey has taken Lynn far and wide over the years, from Ontario Canada to Australia, to beautiful British Columbia, to India, Taiwan and the Philippines. Her favorite experiences while traveling, living and working abroad have always been settling in a place for some time, and getting to know a culture and community.
She is currently residing in Costa Rica on the Osa Peninsula, teaching yoga and practicing therapeutic Thai massage. Lynn’s teaching focus is finding connection to the true Self through nature, and her Thai massage treatments are centered on metta (a loving kindness meditation) and compassionate touch.

• Participating in Advanced Therapeutic Thai Massage Intensive training with Christopher Ray
• Turning 31 years young on February 9th
• Offering Thai massage treatments at various yoga retreats in Cabo Matapalo, Costa Rica
• Studying Spanish in Guatemala
• Growing an organic tropical garden and learning about permaculture
• Climbing more trees, riding more waves and spreading more love
• Sharing my experiences through the Modern Day Yoga
Currently reading: Taking the Leap freeing ourselves from old habits and fears by Pema Chodron
Favorite yoga pose of the moment: Ardha chandrasana (half moon) I love a good challenging balance pose, there’s no where else you can be but right there in the moment, otherwise, you’ll lose it and fall.
Morning rituals: watch the sunrise, drink coffee and play with my dog.
Most epic adventure to date: Working at CMH Heli ski lodge in British Columbia, Canada. There’s no edge like the literal edge of a cliff, dropping into deep powder and making it down in one piece.
Best piece of advice for traveling yogis: be prepared to throw the plan out the window and let go of trying to figure out what will happen next in life. Lean into that uneasy feeling of uncertainty and wild freedom and roll with it pura vida style.
