My name is Alma, I’m a Yoga teacher from Israel. My love story with Yoga goes three years ago and it was by “accident”. Since I remember my self, I was always a very active and sport loving person- but it was always about weight lossbody building. One morning, I woke up earlier than expected, and I saw on my gym schedule that there is an Yoga class. “Why not?” I went- and that’s the first time I fell in love with yoga. It was a Vinyasa class. Something about the movement, about the challenge my body experienced in that class fascinated and attracted me. I started to practice on a daily basis and my practice was very physical, very masculine. It was all about the Asans.I knew nothing about breath work or about the energy we have in every posture, but I felt how well my body reacts, and something about the practice made me feel balanced and peaceful. About one year ago I traveled to Thailand for a Yoga retreat (was planned for 2 weeks) but something there was so magical and powerful I decided to leave everything behind and stay. This is when I fell in love with Yoga from a different angle. I learned about the spirituality and I deepen my practice and my knowledge with amazing inspiring teachers. My practice has changed and now I practice with awareness to my body, in much softer and feminine way. I was amazed to see how stronger I get when I treat my body softly and with patience. something happened there, in my body, in my soul, and I realized that this is my destiny.
