A Little More About Me
Passionate about health and wellness since her late teens, Stephanie discovered increased energy through holistic self care and an active lifestyle. Challenged by asthma, hypothyroidism from a young age and suggested ovarian cancer; finding yoga was monumental to an improved lifestyle. As an integral part of her life, Stephanie feels that yoga keeps the sluggishness of hypothyroidism at bay and she loves the rejuvenating nature of the practice – for mind, body and soul. Optimal health and finding answers to dis- ease in the body became such a passion for Stephanie that she decided to pursue a pharmaceutical career to expand her knowledge base. She now holds her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and has many years of experience at various top ranked hospitals across the nation.
Stephanie has been practicing yoga for over 15 years; completing her yoga teacher training at the Spirit of Yoga under the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. A teacher at heart, she enjoys sharing her diverse knowledge including teaching others how to snowboard for the past ten years. Always an adventure seeker and intrigued by life abroad, she ventured to complete her advanced yoga teacher training (500 RYT) with Dashama Gordon Konah of the Pranashama Institute.
Teaching yoga with a focus on alignment and taking the time to embody each pose is Stephanie’s favorite way to teach a flow. Restorative and yin classes are also yoga styles that Stephanie loves to teach. She is currently experimenting with aerial yoga / trapeze and will be pursuing a training soon to teach an aerial practice.
A beautiful soul with much to share, Stephanie enjoys connecting with other yogis to create new classes, workshops and retreats. She enjoys serving her local community by teaching and plans to expand her influence abroad. Her travels led her to twenty-five countries as well as much of the United States. An entrepreneur, teacher and avid student of all that is life, Stephanie is incredibly grateful for her experience thus far and being able to share with the yoga community.
