My name is Brittany Woodard. I am a Certified Yoga Instructor and a student of Ayurvedic Medicine. I strive to inspire, educate and mentor yogis so that they can feel confident in their yoga practice and find balance in their life.
My yogic education began at University as an Anthropology student, where I grew curious about mind/body connections and spirituality. Since then, my travels have been directed by yoga, studying, training and working in Bali, Cambodia, Thailand, Australia, India, and Europe. I earned my first 200-hour certification through Yoga Alliance at Vikasa in Brittany Woodard in Mysore, India Koh Samui, Thailand and my 500-hour certification under the esteemed Bharath Shetty in Mysore, India at Yoga India. I have explored Hatha, Kundalini, Tantra, Satyananda and Ashtanga and found a physical practice that heals the physical and pranic bodies, mind and spirit.
My intention is to teach yoga in it’s purest form, both within the physical practice and beyond. I believe that you don’t need to enroll in a yoga teacher training to learn deepen your yoga practice; you just need the right teacher.
Originally from California, I have lived and traveled throughout Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and India. I believe that home isn’t a place but instead a state of mind, and we are all citizens of the world.
