I have been practicing yoga since 2012 and began teacher training in 2018.
In my experience, yoga is whatever you need it to be, even if you don’t know what it is you need yet. Instead of approaching teaching yoga as mere exercise, I aim to provide my students with a space to deepen their connection with themselves. I do this through intentional and breath-led movement, meditation, and challenging their bodies to show themselves how strong, calm, resilient, and accepting they are (among other things). In essence, I view teaching yoga as offering an experience of the body, mind, and soul, and allow my students to take whatever they may need from the class.
I offer many variations and modifications in all of my classes and use succinct, dynamic cuing. I began teaching in 2019
