Gina is a native of the San Francisco bay area. She has always been attracted to movement as a vehicle to express herself, which led her from contemporary dance to hatha yoga. Gina completed her 200 hour teacher training with Jean Mazzei and Brenna Geehan, which was steeped in the philosophies and practices of yoga, tantra and ayurveda; her studies with teacher Jean Mazzei continued and she received 500-hour certification in August of 2012. Because of the richness of these time-tested, lineage-based teachings, her personal practice moved beyond the physical asana into a deeper, more energetic and spiritual place—something she is extremely grateful for. Her passion lies in sharing with her students the connections between what is happening on the mat and what is happening off the mat–how to use yoga to change your life.
At the heart of it all, Gina resonates most with the path of Bhakti yoga and spends most of her free time reading sacred texts, chanting mantra and immersing herself in stories about the deities and saints as a large part of her home practice. The connection derived from this place is what truly feeds her soul and provides her with a sense of perfect peace with all that is.

To say that teaching yoga has been rewarding thus far is a complete understatement. As I watch my students grow– inside and outside of class, retreats and trainings, I feel overwhelmed with love and an unending well of continual support pours forth. I love watching them grow during the process of sharing the teachings and I appreciate how they share what they continue to do with what they have been given–days, months, and even years after we’ve shared time and space together. I believe I’m on earth in this incarnation to uplift humanity from a nurturing foundation that fosters authenticity, healing and love–this is what I do when I become a conduit for the teachings that I’ve been given.
