Helen has practiced yoga regularly since 2011. She was instantly drawn to the intense clarity, awareness and balanced energy that her practice awakened. Realising that such personal development would be ongoing, she chose share the joys of this therapeutic art with others, successfully completing an intensive YTT at Harmony Yoga School, Cape Cod, opting for a course that encouraged hands-on teaching experience from day one.
Helen has a passion for steadily-paced vinyasa flows in warmer environments, with a balance of deep restorative/yin postures to enhance her students’ comfort with stillness and inward reflection. She enjoys expanding her yogic experience at retreats and workshops, particularly abroad, and is always keen to learn ways of bettering elements such as sequencing and alignment. She is a natural musician so enhancing yoga , when appropriate, with a wide variety of suitable soundtracks is second nature. As an avid reader, she is inspired by the works of Thich Nhat Hanh, Khalil Gibran, Eckhart Tolle, Melody Beattie, Norman Blair, Bernie Clark, etc.
Helen is described by teachers and students as ‘a rare and beautiful combination of wisdom, wit and authenticity who shares her love of yoga with joy and confidence’.
She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
