Hi, I’m Henny!
Here’s a little bit about me:
I am currently living in North Carolina but am hoping to set out on a new adventure soon! Nothing excites me more than immersing myself in new places, new cultures and new communities. However, I am so grateful for my yoga community here in Charlotte and cannot express enough how much they have helped with my self growth and exploration as an instructor and as a yogi. I recently became certified and am teaching classes in Charlotte, and I am about to start an advanced teacher training program to continue growing as an instructor.
I have a background studying environmental science and am hoping to pursue this passion throughout my travels – by learning from local communities and environmental advocates. A few of my other passions include using yoga for therapy (especially with kids), growing & preparing my own food, finding flow in every aspect of my life, and ANYTHING that involves water (whether it be surfing, freediving, windsurfing, scuba diving, swimming – I’m unapologetically a water sports junkie).
I won’t take up this whole page with my yoga testimony, but I will say that I believe yoga and the lifestyle that it embodies has the power to transform lives, facilitate healing, build the deepest connections and bonds, reveal clarity, and provide overwhelming joy and happiness. As an instructor, I focus on encouraging my students to be authentic, humble, curious, selfless, compassionate, and a positive light on and off the mat. And I strive to do so myself as well 🙂
