I have been teaching Yoga in England since May 2016. I have spaces that I hire and teach classes that range between 7 – 35 students of mixed ages and abilities, I also teach corporate Yoga to small classes.
My favourite way of teaching Yoga is beginner friendly Hatha, I feel Yoga should be inclusive and the students who attend my classes have shaped my way of teaching. On occasion when it is right for the students in attendance I will teach some faster paced, more dynamic Vinyasa or some much slower Yin Yoga, especially around the New or Full Moon!
I return yearly to India where I spend time with an Iyengar teacher who really puts me through my paces! In February 2018 I had to privlege to take part in a 10 day vipassana, this was an incredible, intense and insightful experience.
At the end of 2017 I spent a couple of months teaching in The Philippines. This was the first time I have taught outside of the UK and taught people who didn’t speak English, this again transformed the way I teach on certain settings.
I believe Yoga is a practice to be encorporated into our lives every moment and not just when we are on the mat, I first and foremost consider myself a student who is fornunate enough to share my practice and what I have learned with others. I’m excited to see where it leads and how it evolves!
