I am a 26 year old 200 hour certified yoga teacher! My home base is Chicago but I have been traveling the past year while teaching. I love all things to do with healing the body, mind, and spirit. I have a deep passion for nutrition and seeing food as medicine. I have recently been enthralled by all things Ayurveda and I love to see the way it goes hand in hand with the flow and direction of yoga. Surfing is another new hobby that I’ve recently fallen in love with and I have been so fascinated by the connections between surfing, yoga, meditation and breathwork. The world is in constant need of more beauty, more love, and more self expression and I hope to encourage and share those gifts with the world through my teaching.
Experience & Qualifications
I have taught many different groups of people and many different bodies of all shapes, ages, and sizes. I began my teaching at a Senior Citizen home where I taught chair yoga. I saw improvement beyond belief and it was an incredibly rewarding and peaceful experience. Another rewarding teaching opportunity was with the Salt Lake City fire department. These are some strong guys but man, were they tight and in need of some mindful movement! It was wonderful working with them and seeing the bit of calm it brought to their otherwise hectic day. I taught a 2 hour yoga class two or three times a week at a beautiful yoga retreat center called Pleasant Valley in Nevada City. While there, I deepened my connection with the spiritual side of yoga and created a meditation practice. When I moved to Chicago I began teaching a weekly vinyasa style class in the condo building my parents were living in. This group was aged 22 to 60 years old and they were mostly beginners. I also have been teaching private lessons to a few older women. These private lessons have really made me reevaluate teaching styles and made me think on my toes and teach in new and creative ways. I recently was teaching at a glamping lodge in Portugal and a surf lodge in the west of Ireland.
