In August 2016 I completed 200 hours of teacher training from the Kailash Tribal School of Yoga and Holistic Health, a yoga alliance certified school in northern India. This teaching incorporated an expansive, philosophical and psychological focus on yoga as well as the physiological aspects. The asana classes were Hatha in kind and tailored to fit participants of all levels. Prior to this teacher training I had been taking regular classes at home and abroad for 2 years as well as taken part in a buddhistic yoga retreat in 2015.
A Little More About Me
I have an interest in free diving and breathing techniques as well as ayurveda, mediation, music, photography. I believe that along with the natural energy, which connects us all, that each of us has individual needs and become balanced in our own unique way. Yoga gives us a lens or path to understand ourselves and where we may fine tune our inner and outer balance as well as stimulates and nourishes our minds and bodies, engaging us in this natural world we find ourselves.
Additionally I have experience working with a wide range of people in costumer service and hospitality, building operations and catering as well as volunteering with children teaching in challenging environments. In addition I have been responsible for looking after animals, plants and habitat on an organic farm and travelled independently throughout over 40 different countries, overcoming many different logistical challenges and negotiating and engaging within many different cultures. I am dedicated to fulfilling my responsibilities and embrace the challenges and enjoyment of a changing and social environment whilst at the same time I am comfortable working independently.
Experience & Qualifications
Since the teacher training I have participated in some classes at a Vinyasa teacher training school in Costa Rica as well as given Asana classes at an eco-lodge in Panama. My focus is on holistic health, stress management, meditation and connection to nature. I have also completed a short course in Sound Healing at the school where I completed my teacher training and can provide Singing Bowl therapy sessions in addition to Asana classes.
