A Little More About Me
Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada
Value and appreciate the powers of a well rounded yoga practice, while striving to incorporate the principles of Ayurveda on my journey. My practice includes daily meditation and pranayama. For asana, I enjoy hatha, vinyasa, yin/restorative, and Asthanga from time to time. A good deep stretch class is always a pleasure as well. I’ve more recently become interested in yoga Nidra and Kundalini too.
I’m also very interested in the aspects of yoga as a therapy and how it can help individuals heal from complex trauma, ptsd, and addiction. As a registered social worker, I’m eager to educate myself in this area and further explore how I can utilize the principles of Ayurveda and yoga as healing modalities to help those I serve overcome mental health concerns, and achieve balance on a mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual level.

I completed a trauma-informed yoga course, which embodies the use of invitation language to empower students to use their body as a resource and encourage self-regulation. This is my first experience as a new teacher, however, I am eager to work as an instructor on a consistent basis in order to amerliorate my skills, while continuing to improve my own practice as a student of yoga as well.
