A Little More About Me
Namaste! My name is Mimi and I’m a creative, friendly, fun-loving and open-hearted twenty-six-year-old from Boston, Massachusettes who is seeking a break from my nine to five office job in pursuits of a lifelong dream to teach yoga abroad via a work exchange or some other volunteer/part-time opportunity.
I view yoga as the art of coming home to yourself. Born and raised in the greater Boston area, I began practicing locally in high school, but it was only after quitting my division III sport during college that my devotion to yoga truly blossomed. Not only did I see my body change shape and begin to feel more grounded, strong and healthy, but I felt a deep spiritual connection to the practice and the non-physical sensations that arise throughout it. I was thrilled to complete my 200 RYT from South Boston Yoga under the brilliant guidance of David Vendetti and Todd Skoglund in August of 2015 and I am excited to continue my journey as a teacher abroad.
As a Copywriter and Content Coordinator for an education travel company, I also concept, write, edit and proofread various forms of content including printed materials, email outreach initiatives, digital campaigns and other marketing materials for lead generation and nurturing purposes. I manage strategy, content and distribution for all of my company’s social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Snapchat, YouTube) and am proficient at various digital marketing platforms such as WordPress, Contentful, Hubspot, Constant Contact and Sitecore. I look forward to offering my writing and content management skills to whatever hotel, company or organization that I connect with!

Experience & Qualifications
Vinyasa, Power Flow, Foundations
I’m a graduate of the 2015 South Boston Yoga 200 RYT program, where I truly enjoyed deepening my own practice and understanding of yoga. I began my journey as a Yoga Instructor at Blue Lotus Arts, a yoga, massage and acupuncture center in Needham, Massachusetts, and now currently teach the practice bi-weekly for EF Education First at their corporate headquarters in Cambridge.
I approach yoga as an integration of physical and mental exercises that are designed to balance and unite the mind, body and spirit. My classes offer smart sequencing, a wide range of asanas, strengthening and alignment, breathing exercises, and of course, room to explore and have fun! I particularly enjoy helping my students with alignment and am always sure to provide a generous shavasana adjustment at the end of class—I believe that the power of touch in yoga is important. In addition to my current teaching disciplines, I have experience instructing inversion workshops, foundations, advanced, soma ball rollouts and yin yoga.
