After having worked 4 years in Marketing, I decided to change my career completely and follow my passion for Yoga. Looking for a purposeful way to work together with people and be more in nature, I quit my job in March 2019 to travel around South America.
Due to my special interest in trauma-sensitive Yoga, I volunteered at the NGO MUSADE in San Ramon, Costa Rica, where I guided breath-work and mediations for women and children who had experienced trauma. My classes were based on personal experiences from taking trauma-sensitive Yoga lessons and reading books focusing on trauma and mindful movement. A psychologist was present during these classes to provide emotional support to the students.
I did my RYT 200 certification in Guatemala with Echo Giesel Widmer and volunteered as a Yoga teacher directly after the training. Since then I had continuously taught Hatha and Yin Yoga at various hostels in Guatemala and Mexico.
My goal is to create a safe space for those who come to my Yoga class and enable people, to listen to their body and reconnect to themselves. My intention is to make the Yoga I offer accessible to everybody, regardless of the experience, age or gender. I try to make my practice trauma-sensitive by using careful instructions and allowing each student to choose among different options, to help them find their way to move, their Yoga.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis on sustainability & marketing and over 4 years experience in Marketing & Sales in Germany (Munich) where I developed marketing campaigns and organized corporate events for groups of 30-50 clients and partners.
My tasks ranged from creating the marketing strategy and social media plan to executing trade shows, coordinating between printers, graphic designers and the PR agency.
Now, I’d love to help entrepreneurs or small companies to develop their business in a successful, profitable and sustainable way.
I enjoy experimenting with plant-based recipies and volunteered as a vegan cook preparing dinners for groups of 15-18 people at an Eco-Hostel in Semuc Champey, Guatemala.
Another passion of mine is Dance and Music – the dance floor is my comfort zone. I love Ecstatic Dance, Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba. I have a good feeling for rhythm, give me a music instrument and I will not get bored for hours.
Last but not least, I am fluent in English, German, Spanish and Russian and have a basic understanding of French.
