I began as a volunteer, leading patients at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center in Yoga with the encouragement of my college yoga professor. That was an incredible learning experience in so many ways! I then dove into my 200 hour training at Open Sky Yoga in Rochester New York with François Raoult, whose focus and love is in Iyengar, and who learned and studied with the man himself , BKS Iyengar.
A Little More About Me
I love teaching! I teach what I best intuit what my class needs. My influences and training has been varied- Vinyasa, Iyengar, Power, and what I call dance infusion. Yoga is about experimentation, finding our own answers and unlocking power, potential and release from the body, mind and soul.
I have completed my massage therapist training in Boston Massachusetts and am now a 750hrLMT. This training has deepened my understanding of anatomy, physiology and the whole human being. I am thrilled to do this work.

Experience & Qualifications
Vinyasa, dance infusion, restorative.
My first teaching experience was a volunteer position at a psychiatric hospital at the invitation of my college yoga teacher. That was an incredible gift. It is hard to say who learned more, who was the “student” and who was the “teacher”?! That position taught me so much about my preconceived ideas and how much I can learn about the human being through observation, kindness and always remaining open and humble. Throughout the years, I have taught Community Education classes that have brought joy and growth to all involved. I have worked with young children & teens teaching Creative Movement and Yoga in a fun and accessible way. I have a few private clients and this helps me to deepen the work of learning about the human being.
This past August, I left my work of 20 years as a full time Waldorf Early Childhood Educator and came to Blue Osa Yoga Retreat Center to volunteer as a yoga teacher and gardener. I could not have made a better choice. I am humbled daily by the gifts of my work here. I have learned so many things in many unexpected ways.
