I am a brand new Forrest Yoga Instructor, yearning for personal adventure, while supporting others on their healing journey, through the practice of yoga. Forrest Yoga is style of yoga with a heavy emphasis on proper alignment, hands on assists and holding poses for long periods of time (which often can feel like forever! Students are encouraged to work to their physical/spiritual/emotional edge and not blow past it.
As well as being a Forrest Yoga Instructor, I have my Master’s degree in Social Work. I have experience working with children and adults, with a range of mental health issues, ranging from Depression, anxiety, Bi-Polar, eating disorders and cognitive disabilities, to Autism, HIV/AIDS, PTSD and other trauma related disorders.
Personally, I’ve had a long, challenging and incredibly beautiful healing journey over the years. I have had support from many teachers and mentors, and I feel called to support others on their journey to healing. As we each heal our wounds with nourishing medicine, the world will begin to glow a little bit brighter.
