A Little More About Me
Johannesburg, South Africa
Experience & Qualifications
Vinyasa, Yin yoga and Hatha
Once I qualified from my 200hrs, I took some time to first self practice and go through everything that I had learned and got a deeper understanding of what it all meant during my self practice time. Once I was comfortable and confident in myself then I began teaching private classes and small groups towards the end of 2016. I began to learn how to adapt my teaching style to the needs of the individuals that were attending, because that’s what everyone was, all individuals and no two people were the same. Teaching yoga has definitely showed me kindness towards myself mainly as well as to others. I’m now in a space where when I teach I make sure to make a point to students that it is ultimately their own practice and I’m merely there to offer guidelines to follow because of how I know that not everyone is the same therefore not everyone practices in the same manner. I’ve learned to create a safe space for students to let go as well as holding space for those in the class. Teaching yoga has been rewarding to me in so many ways and has allowed for peace to be present in my life because I am able to witness the joy that it brings to the students attending.
