Remembering Your Inner Freedom Through Slow Travel

Remembering Your Inner Freedom Through Slow Travel

When we speak about moksha, liberation; we know that it doesn’t depend on external reciprocity, for we can only become free from within. We don’t have to earn freedom, buy it, or get approved by anyone. We only need to be reminded of already being free and slow travel can often help with this.

But…Is it easy to be reminded of that in our fast-paced world, with so many misconceptions, confusion of what’s right, minimum time to reconnect with ourselves and not maybe even knowing anymore what that means or how to do that?

The short answer is: it is not.

The longer answer is…Everyone deserves to slow down, pause, to listen. But when we want to say ‘yes’ to ourselves, we often need to say ‘no’ to something else. Simply; full cup can’t get fuller. Sometimes we are so wired into our overstimulated autopilot minds that we are unable to see the way out!

The only way out is IN. To look inwards. What’s holding us back? How to step into our full potential? How to reclaim our space, express what we need and  reevaluate where we are heading?

First of all, let’s create some time & space for your unique being-ness. If I would get a penny every time I hear word ‘busy’, I would now be sipping kombucha in a hammock on a beautiful beach in the Philippines. Oh wait..I do!

It all began several years ago… Surfing on internet, driven by this crazy idea to travel and work…back then, with a thin bank account and very little teaching experience: ‘How am I gonna do it?, played in my head like a broken record. Yet, the question didn’t hold me back, rather encouraged me to search for the right places to find the answer: YOGA TRADE! A platform, that actually seemed too easy: make an account and find slow travel opportunities made right for you, all around the world!

Let’s be honest, wouldn’t you also wish to have more time for yourself and the things you like to do? Perhaps to keep up with your yoga practice, travel to get inspired or be hosted in the most beautiful places in the world? If you are thinking, “that’s not possible” or “it will never be me’’…hold on. I used to think the same…

Wanting to become great yoga teacher, it was clear to me that there is one thing they just can’t teach you at yoga teacher training: the actual experience of teaching.

I knew I had to teach, teach and teach more in order to become better. In 2019, it was the first time I contacted a couple of studios in Thailand and Laos and guess what: they picked me! I couldn’t believe it. Everything went so smooth, felt very trustworthy, communication was great, everything secured. Within a few days, I was already teaching my first class in Phuket, Thailand. A month later in Vang Vieng, Laos. Since then also in India, Philippines, and Spain.

I realized that this IS happening, the world is so abundant and there is enough for everyone, you just need to know where to look and how to commit to the opportunity. Yoga Trade helped make many of my dreams of nomadic slow travel come true.

Lately more and more people reach out to me asking how I became a nomad, how do I search for jobs, if it’s safe, and if it’s also for them. What I absolutely love about Yoga Trade is that every yoga teacher (also artists, healthy cooks, and other wellness facilitators) can find something: all offers are very diverse. Some places are looking for brand new teachers to gain experience, other places offer to co-host retreats, to become managers of successful yoga studios, to teach for yoga trainings, or to come to help out for a valuable exchange.

Yoga Trade gave me so much. It’s a HOME, many homes all over the world. It’s a welcoming community, an internal hug, forever support wherever I land. Yoga Trade is not a platform; it’s a portal, an open door from your heart into the world of opportunities! I tremendously grew as a person and yoga teacher and I cooperate with sweetest souls. Last but not least: cheers also to these lovely souls who stand behind the project. Their passion to connect people and make the world a better place are just so wholeheartedly felt, wherever you go. And that makes the entire experience so full and complete.

I feel very blessed and honored to share my passion, peace and love around the world. I really recommend everyone to have a look and open your wings. YOU CAN fly too!

See you somewhere on Mother Earth.
