[av_dropcap1]O[/av_dropcap1]ften referred to as a free-spirit, Sarah smiles at the thought of living so openly that others take notice. With messy hair and usually bare feet, she takes her time experiencing the world around her so that no detail goes unnoticed. Sarah believes there is magic in the seemingly mundane or simple and can often spend hours wandering through the forest behind her home in Germany soaking up the elemental layers flavoring her surroundings. She attempts to become intimate with nature and often jokes she is having a romance with the forest. But this is how she lives her life – always inquisitive and mindfully attentive so that no detail slips by without the reverence it deserves.
Just as life evolves, Sarah’s yoga practice and teaching also evolves. Her intense studies began in 2011 in the Virgin Islands where she lived and played in the Caribbean Sea for nearly 6 years. She moved back to the states to assist her beloved teacher, Robin Buck, with the 200 Hour Training program and to teach the St. Louis Rams NFL team. Her focus turned to athletic training and recovery before it turned back towards internal healing when she began working with veterans suffering with PTSD. Sarah moved to Germany after a year in the states and continued to teach and study across Europe and northern India. She again dabbled in fitness coaching, but found herself continually drawn back into the more subtle, inner layers of yoga. After attending her first advanced teacher training in Italy, and then leading yoga retreats in Germany and Spain, Sarah ventured out to create her own 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training curriculum which was born in July 2016 as La Yoga Vida Teacher Training. Her teaching style and training program emphasize living yoga beyond making physical shapes by utilizing the 8 Limbs of Yoga as a guide for passionately living with purpose.

In Germany, Sarah offers subsidized and free yoga classes, workshops and private lessons for a military based community. She is currently working on making more free, audio classes available to the public so that everyone can access a heart-centered yoga class.
Sarah’s inquisitive nature keeps her moving and exploring new ideas, teachings and places. She is most fulfilled when she is learning, challenged and surrounded by nature. She truly believes a physical practice of yoga and the study of the 8 Limbs transforms the way we experience and relate to ourselves, others and the world around us.
Sarah and her husband have visited over 40 countries and are not slowing down any time soon! In October, the couple will travel through Italy, road trip up the coast of Croatia and eventually make their way to Copenhagen. In November, Sarah will continue her education at Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja, Mexico. The winter will bring adventures in Eastern Europe before Sarah returns to the Yoga Farm in Costa Rica in 2017. Her 2017-2018 yoga retreats and 200-hour teacher trainings will be announced this winter.
