“Ever a student, in the school of movement.”
Consciousness is increased by an expanding amount of potential responses to external stimuli. To move in different and more complex patterns. To intellectualize and think at higher levels. This is what growth is all about. This is what Yoga can give you.
I was first introduced to Yoga as a form of injury rehabilitation. While in my “fitness fanatic” days, a powerlifting session gone wrong left me seriously injured. The majority of the bones in my left foot were instantly reduced to dust. Two different surgeons told me I would never run again, and for a while, I lived in a very dark place. My life was about movement. How could I begin to help others if I could barely walk?
4 months into recovery, someone close to me, and angel if you will, introduced me to Yoga and the practice of meditation. I began to build a solid foundation around positive thinking and proprioceptive training. By month seven, I was able to walk unassisted. By month twelve, I was regularly running long distances. Yoga showed me the light. Yoga gave me my life back.
April 2014, I moved to Paradise Island, Bahamas and became a certified Sivananda Yoga Teacher. After 6 months, I returned home as “Rama”, a new man, a new beginning. Since then I’ve opened and ran a private studio located outside Toronto, ON, hosted workshops (hand balancing, backhanding, meditation, etc…) all across Southern Ontario and created an Online platform to teach yoga to those initially out of reach.
I’d love to work with you!
