2023 WildYoga Training: Earth Element

The second module in our 2023 WildYoga Teacher Training, this foundational and grounding weekend will focus on the Earth Element as it relates to all aspects of yoga. It is essential to connect with our foundation first when building a strong life-long yoga practice!  To that end we will work with the feet and legs in our yoga asana and anatomy sessions. Our physical practice will draw on the stable and solid qualities of Earth; including a focus on standing poses, reclined poses, and pada bandha. By joining this weekend you will learn to effectively tap into the qualities of Earth Element, and to verbally express these to your yoga students.

Friday through Sunday, students will move through daily yoga asana practice, meditation, pranayama, yoga philosophy and more! This weekend we will introduce the Earth Element and how it relates to Yoga through didactic presentations and experiential practice. Our goals for this foundational weekend are to introduce important philosophical concepts and embody them through practice.

Based at the cozy and rustic Yosemite Bug’s Yoga Studio (with allotments for outdoor adventures in Yosemite, weather permitting) we will be in community in Midpines, just west entrance to Yosemite National Park.

Participants are welcome to attend this program as a retreat, attend as continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance, or attend as the first module of our comprehensive 200-hour or advanced 300-hour WildYoga Teacher Training program.

Meals and lodging are not included in the program price due to overwhelming feedback to keep these costs separate. You can reserve accommodations onsite at the Yosemite Bug with a 10% discount if you mention this program at booking.
